Senator Marafa Vows to Reduce Tinubu’s 2027 Votes by One Million
Following his resignation from the APC, former Senator Kabiru Marafa has publicly issued a million-vote threat against President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid. The former lawmaker, who was the president’s campaign coordinator in Zamfara in 2023, vowed to deduct one million votes from Tinubu’s tally.
Key Points:
Former Senator Kabiru Marafa has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He vowed to deduct one million votes from President Tinubu’s tally in the 2027 presidential election.
Marafa accused Tinubu of a “use-and-dump” style of politics and of failing to reform the APC’s internal reward system.
He claimed there is widespread “heavy disenchantment” with the APC in Zamfara, uniting top politicians against the party.
Marafa dismissed claims that he is “a paperweight” politically, stating that 2027 will prove his influence.
The public vow by a former party chieftain highlights the growing political discontent within the APC, particularly in Zamfara State. The declaration sets the stage for a significant political battle as the 2027 elections approach.
