Recall that Tinubu had come under heavy backlash for addressing victims of the Jos attack, which left no fewer than 28 people dead, at the airport, where he met with them.

However, speaking during an appearance on Channels Television, Mutfwang argued that the venue of Tinubu’s meeting with the people of Jos was less important than the substance of the meeting.

The governor said Tinubu showed concern, and that was what mattered.

He said, “The venue is not as important as the substance.

“The President came, met with the people, and demonstrated concern. That is what matters.”

He described the incident as “quite challenging,” noting that it marked a disturbing shift from previous attacks largely confined to rural communities.
