How to make a flu-fighter smoothie with citrus and ginger

I created this vibrant yellow smoothie when I had a nasty flu and was desperate to get better. Antioxidant-packed citrus fruit and fresh ginger unite to kick any cold or flu’s behind.
If you’re feeling really desperate, like I was, add a small amount of cayenne pepper to the mix. You’ll be breathing free and clear in no time! Word on the street is that cayenne pepper also boosts your metabolism.
Prep time: 10 minutes
SERVES
One
INGREDIENTS
2 medium seedless navel oranges, peeled
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, or to taste
1 tsp grated fresh ginger, or to taste
1-3 tsp pure maple syrup, to taste
3-5 ice cubes
Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
METHOD
In a high-speed blender, combine all of the ingredients and blend until smooth. Drink and get ready to feel better in a flash.
