EPL: Liverpool suffer double injury blow ahead of Chelsea clash
Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, has revealed that Alisson Becker picked up an injury in their 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Alisson is now set to miss Saturday’s Premier League clash at Chelsea.
The Brazilian goalkeeper had to be replaced by Giorgi Mamardashvili against the Turkish giants.
Striker Hugo Ekitike also pulled up after stretching for the ball and also had to be replaced by Alexander Isak.
“It’s never positive if you go off like this,” Slot said.
“You can be sure he is not playing Saturday.”
Liverpool are still top of the league table with 15 points, two more than second-placed Arsenal.
