The attack left more than 20 residents dead and several others injured, prompting families to flee as gunfire echoed through the community.
In the aftermath, numerous celebrities condemned the violence on social media including Jos-born rapper Ice Prince, actor and activist Mr. Macaroni and singer Peter Okoye.
In an Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest, the socialite, said he had been deeply affected by the attack, particularly by a viral video showing a mother and her child.
