Indonesia has commenced enforcement of a new rule restricting children under 16 from accessing certain digital platforms, becoming the first country in Southeast Asia to introduce such a measure.
The policy, which took effect on Saturday, limits young users’ access to platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, Bigo Live, and Roblox.
