Why I Resign As Labour Minister – Onyejeocha
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has announced her immediate resignation from her position.
The resignation comes as a surprise to many, given her relatively short tenure in the role.
Onyejeocha, in a statement released via her official X handle, said, “It is with a heart full of gratitude that I announce my resignation.
“This decision comes with profound gratitude to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the opportunity to serve Nigeria in his administration.”
Onyejeocha, who was appointed to the position in August 2023, cited her desire for a new beginning as the reason for her departure.
“This is not an end but a new beginning. I remain committed to service, to progress, and to building the Nigeria we all deserve.”
