Ex-Imo Deputy Governor Madumere Resigns From APC

Former Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has resigned from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Madumere served as deputy governor to former Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, following the removal of Chief Jude Agbaso, and also held the position throughout Okorocha’s second term which ended on May 29, 2019.

The former deputy governor announced his decision in a letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of Ezinihitte Ward, Mbieri, in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.

The resignation letter, dated March 17, 2026, was acknowledged on the same day by Hon. Ugochukwu Udeh.
