Symptoms Of Clogged Arteries In The Heart That Should Not Be Ignored
Clogged arteries in the heart, also known as coronary artery disease (CAD), can be life-threatening if not detected early. Unfortunately, many people ignore the warning signs, mistaking them for minor issues. Understanding the symptoms is crucial for timely medical intervention.
One of the most common symptoms is chest pain or discomfort, often described as pressure, squeezing, or fullness in the chest.
This pain, known as angina, may occur during physical activity or stress and usually subsides with rest. Another key warning sign is shortness of breath, especially during exertion, which results from the heart not getting enough oxygen-rich blood.
Some people experience fatigue, even when doing routine tasks, due to reduced blood flow. Pain in the arms, shoulders, neck, jaw, or back can also signal a heart problem, particularly in women. These symptoms might occur with or without chest pain.
In some cases, people may feel nausea, dizziness, sweating, or even experience heart palpitations. These should not be dismissed as anxiety or indigestion.
Clogged arteries develop slowly over time, but once symptoms appear, the condition could be serious. Seeking medical attention early can prevent heart attacks and improve quality of life. Always listen to your body your heart might be trying to tell you something important.
