Wike: Jonathan’s 2027 Ambition Pushed by Betrayers
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has delivered Wike’s Political Verdict on the 2027 presidency, commenting on three key figures. He warned that those pushing for Goodluck Jonathan to run are the same people who “betrayed him in 2015” and that a return by Peter Obi would “destroy the party further.”
Key Points
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike advised Goodluck Jonathan against joining the 2027 presidential race.
Wike claimed that the politicians pushing for Jonathan’s candidacy are the same ones who “played him” in 2015.
He also strongly advised against Peter Obi’s return to the PDP, claiming it would “destroy the party further.”
Wike argued that Obi had previously “publicly discredited” the party.
The minister also reiterated that he has no plans to contest against President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
He cited his “integrity and character” as reasons for his decision.
Wike’s statements position him as a key commentator on the political landscape ahead of the 2027 elections. His strong opinions on Jonathan and Obi signal a deeper power struggle within the political elite.
