Parts Of The Body You Will Feel Pain When The Kidneys Are Unhealthy
According to MedicalNewsToday, the kidneys are one of the most important systems in the body. They remove harmful substances and excess fluid from the circulatory system, regulate blood pressure, and produce hormones that stimulate red blood cell production and modulate calcium metabolism.
Kidney dysfunction can cause a variety of symptoms and health issues, including localized pain. Lower back pain, particularly near the kidneys, is a common symptom of kidney disease.
This discomfort is frequently described as dull and painful, in addition to other symptoms such as fever, nausea, and vomiting. The pain may begin in the stomach or groin and spread to the opposite side of the body.
Another common sign of kidney problems is pain or discomfort while urinating. It could feel like fire on your skin, pressure, or that time is running out. You may also notice blood in your urine or nocturia (nighttime urinary incontinence).
When the kidneys aren’t working properly, it can hurt more than just the back of the neck and upper back. This is because fluid buildup in the legs and feet, accompanied by pain and discomfort, could indicate that the kidneys are not functioning properly.
Pain or discomfort in the upper back or chest is a symptom that can be associated with kidney problems. This is due to the fact that the diaphragm, which separates the chest from the abdomen, is located near the kidneys. Kidney inflammation or infection can cause back or flank pain, which is easily misdiagnosed as a heart attack or other more serious condition.
Keep in mind that not all kidney problems cause physical discomfort. Many people with kidney disease may not exhibit any symptoms until the disease has progressed to a late stage.
As a result, it is critical to have routine checkups and blood tests to monitor kidney health and identify potential problems as soon as they arise.
